Shiboridashi Teapot A
by Yu-Jui Yang
Shiboridashi is broadly used for high-quality Japanese tea, like gyokuro. Meanwhile, many people start to compare the Shiboridashi with Gaiwan. The beneficial compare with Gaiwan is you don't have to open the Shiboridashi's lid. Just hold the lid with the body and let the liquid come out from the spout.
And even more fascinating, people now also like to use Shiboridashi to brew larger Chinese or Taiwanese loose-leaf tea, like oolong and pu-erh. The wider body makes tea open more and extracts the liquid even better.
About Yu-Jui Yang
The tea ceremony - as a reactionary in this noisy time, has attracted tea people from all over the world and has spread among various cultures.
Looking back on my tea drinking experience in the past, I hope to make teaware belonging to this generation. Oppose traditional shapes, and combine ancient and modern forms, glaze, and textures without limitation.
And also refer to the product of different cultures, through learning and internalization, into contemporary aesthetics and usage habits.
I consider a balance between light and texture, hoping to fit in the modern space as much as possible. Accompany the user in a comfortable and practical state, and have a calm moment in daily life or tea feast.
